Jubilee REACH Seasonal Stipend Coach

A Stipend Coach serves as the head coach for an after-school sports team for a 6-8 week season. Coaching opportunities include
elementary: soccer and middle school: boys/girls basketball, boys/girls soccer, coed flag football, coed cross country. The expected
hours vary by school as shown in the tables below. Stipend Coaches will be assigned to a school based on staffing needs and availability.

Clergy Coach

Role and Responsibilities

A Clergy Coach serves as a head coach for an elementary school soccer or middle school sports team for a 6-8 week season. This includes preparing activities, leading practices, and managing player rotations during games.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Currently employed by a local church or Christian non-profit organization

Adult Coach

Role and Responsibilities

A Coach serves as a head coach for an elementary school soccer or middle school sports team for a 6-8 week season. This includes preparing activities, leading practices, and managing player rotations during games.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Meet at least one of the below qualifications 

    • BSD Staff who are unable to get Activity Pay through the school 

    • College student

    • Previous Jubilee REACH volunteer (or similar experience)

    • Recommendation from a member of the Site Coach Leadership Team and Executive Director approval

Student Coach

Role and Responsibilities

A Student Coach serves as a head coach for an elementary school soccer team for a 6-8 week season. This includes preparing activities, leading practices, and managing player rotations during games. Volunteer experience can be with middle school, but the paid stipend position is for coaching elementary soccer only. 

Qualifications:

  • Junior or senior and at least 16 years old 

  • Completed all volunteer hours required for graduation  

  • Previous Jubilee REACH volunteer 

  • Proven exceptional coach 

  • Capable of leading own team 

  • Provide a letter of recommendation from BSD staff member

Chaperone

Role and Responsibilities

A chaperone serves as an adult presence for a team for a 6-8 week season. This could look like supporting the coach, supervising and maintaining student safety during activities, or adding additional support to increase the capacity on a team.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Must be filling a need (i.e. strong HS coach that needs a present adult)
