Before and After School Care
On weekday mornings and afternoons, the Jubilee REACH Center is bustling with students from Lake Hills Elementary who come to our before and after school program.
Parents who work long hours often cannot drop off or pick up their children from school on time. Through our before and after-school care, parents have access to free childcare. While with us, students receive healthy means, engage in enriching activities, and have the opportunity to learn valuable life skills. These include building positive relationships with peers and staff, learning to have fun together, caring for one another, and understanding personal responsibility.
Before-School Care
From 7:00 - 8:30 am, Monday through Friday, students gather at the Jubilee REACH Center for before-school care. They start with a hearty breakfast, cooked by volunteer breakfast crews, that gives them the energy and focus needed for their school day.
After breakfast, the kids have time for free play, where they often initiate group games - their favorites include UNO, 4-Square, and hide-and-go-seek tag!
When 8:30 am rolls around, staff walk with the students to the nearby Lake Hills Elementary school, where they continue their day of learning and playing. Many students return later in the day for our after-school program.
After-School Care
From 3:00 - 5:00 pm on weekdays and 1:00 - 5:00 pm on Wednesdays, students come to the Jubilee REACH Center for an engaging afternoon where they:
Have meals together.
Play activity games outdoors (soccer, tag, hide and seek, etc.)
Form friendships with classmates emphasizing practicing social and emotional growth.
Different club opportunities to learn and practice new skills.
On Wednesdays, our students participate in Art Club, led by our long-time volunteer, Ms. Sari.
